HouseMark

Project

A re-brand to combat the downturn in subscribers due to the economic climate and to cross sell HouseMark consultancy services.

Objectives

Our main objective was to refresh HouseMark’s existing brand, recognised as a kite mark for quality benchmarking services in the housing sector, to coincide with their 10th birthday. It also needed to cross sell their consultancy services to subscribers.

Outcome

We developed a bespoke type style for the logo, which was supported by the clear and accessible base font for the different areas of the company.

We developed a mark with the view to this working with the type and/or, when it has become established, on its own. We disposed of HouseMark’s stock photography, developing an illustration style based around a community of creatures living in a tree – the tree representing HouseMark, the creatures representing what they do.

This was then rolled out across stationery, leaflets, adverts, exhibition stands and website.

A bi-monthly campaign is being run in Inside Housing, the industry standard publication.

Each advert reminds you how important the members service is, whilst cross selling other services.

The striking nature of the illustrations has attracted widespread positive comment across the sector, including the Advertising Manager at Inside Housing herself!

Feedback

"Nonconform’s team understands the social housing sector, which has made it much easier to work with them to get our key messages across in the most effective way. They have also helped us flex the brand as the sector has changed, meaning we really have got more for our money than from many other design consultancies."
