We've had The Viper Label in the studio today, collaborating on the sleeves for two new albums. Both are part of an ongoing Viper series, archiving lost American music, and celebrating the origins of pop and rock - Cab Calloway (The Best of) and Slide that thing, a collection of the best blues slide guitar music from 1930's and 40's USA.
We also did a bit of reminiscing about the almost-twenty-year's-worth of sleeves that we have put together with Viper, together with brilliant artists and designers like Steve Hardstaff, Mike Badger, Paul Hemmings, Chris Elliot, T.G. Elias and Jon Barraclough.
Here are just a few - you can find them all at the-viper-label.co.uk.
From The La's to The Great Northwestern Hoboes and Tramp Attack to The Stairs, The Viper Label has released some of the most iconic records in Liverpool's history. We recommend you go and have a mooch at the Viper back-catalogue.
